This policy covers the moatline.io website and the Moatline Malware Scanner WordPress plugin. Both are run by Next Nova Technologies (Pvt) Ltd (“we”). If you have a question, email info@nextnova.tech.
This website
- No cookies, analytics or tracking. The site doesn't set cookies or load analytics, ads or social media scripts.
- No third-party requests. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from Google or another provider.
- Server logs. Like any web server, our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, browser, page and time) to keep the site secure and working. These are kept for a limited time and not used to identify you.
- Email. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you.
The free plugin
Moatline Malware Scanner runs on your own WordPress site. Scan results, logs, settings and two-step login secrets are stored in your site's own database. We can't see them.
The plugin contacts one outside service:
- WordPress.org plugin checksums (
downloads.wordpress.org): when you run a scan, the plugin sends the name and version number of each installed WordPress.org plugin to fetch the official file checksums. No personal data, content or files are sent. See the WordPress.org privacy policy.
The two-step login QR code is drawn inside your site; the secret is never sent anywhere. The plugin has no tracking or “phone home” features.
The Pro add-on
Pro is not yet available. When it launches it will contact additional services, which will be listed here and in its readme before release: our licence server (licence key, site address and plugin version), GitHub (to check for updates), and optional services you turn on yourself, such as an IP reputation service.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@nextnova.tech. In practice the only personal data we hold is the content of emails you send us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
